Who We Are
We have been there. RightChanges coaches have personally been out in the new job market.
RightChanges president, Judi Adams, was on the IT job market the week before Christmas in 2001, following 9/11 and the dot.com bust. During the 8 months of her job search, Judi discovered a lot about navigating the new job market that she felt no other job seeker should struggle to discover.
Once Judi landed her new job in August of 2002, Judi volunteered with the Crossroads Career chapter at Dunwoody Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA. It was then that Judi created and shared with job seekers the content that forms the foundation of the RightChanges materials, based upon the Crossroads Career Network Six Steps of the job search.
Since that time, Judi has stayed current on the changes to the job market and continually updates the RightChanges materials so they are always relevant and up-to-date.
Checklist for Selecting a Job Search Coach
RightChanges is proud of the services we offer at the prices we charge with the success our clients have achieved. We encourage you to check out other job search coaching companies. We believe that feature for feature, you will not find a better option than RightChanges. In fact we are providing the following checklist for you to use:
1) Do they meet with you in person or over the phone?
Unless geographical differences make it impractical, RightChanges coaches meet with clients in person. Being in a job search can feel isolating. You don't want your job search coach to be a stranger.
Meeting in person is important for other reasons. Over 85% of communication is body language. Unless your job search coach sees your body language, he may be missing the message your body is sending to interviewers and that may be what is keeping you from being hired.
2) Do they meet as a group or one-on-one?
RightChanges programs are one-on-one and customized as needed with additional modules at no extra charge so you can get the specific attention in the areas you need. Many job search coaching programs that compare in price to RightChanges are group sessions with limited individual access to your coach.
3) What modules are included in the price?
RightChanges provides a chart and clear published pricing on the services we offer. Compare service for service when you are comparing price for price.
4) How do the coaches keep up-to-date?
Clients come to RightChanges after working with other companies unsuccessfully only to find out that the other company’s coach was not up to date on today's job market and current best practices. (Note: if a resume writer says to add "References available upon request" to the end of your resume, it is an indication he is from the old school).
RightChanges coaches attend industry networking meetings, participate on industry conference calls, and continually read articles to understand best practices by other experts in the field including Susan Whitcomb Harney MacKay, and Dick Bolles.
Our own Senior Coach Judi Adams is considered an upcoming expert in the field and writes regular articles that are read world-wide. Her articles are also published in various industry national newsletters. Check back with us for soon to be announced details on the book Judi is in the process of publishing on a unique topic related to the job search.
5) Does their coach have a true passion for the work?
Some job search coaches have been in the business so long, they no longer have a passion for the work. How, then, can they get you fired up and motivated for the search?
RightChanges was started in 2009 because of our passion to help job seekers. Anyone who has heard Judi Adams speak (or even read her articles) can clearly see her passion for helping others through a job transition. This passion has only grown since 2002 following her own job transition and realizing that there was no one place for job seekers to find affordable help with their job search. This passion is obvious in every contact we have with our clients.
6) How long do they stay with you?
Many other companies have a time limit on their programs. Others add on charges for continued service. When you are in a job transition, you do not need to encounter additional charges at a time you can least afford them. However in this economy, it is taking people longer to land a job.
RightChanges will stay with you until you land the job as long as you are doing what your coach believe you need to do to be successful.
If you find a better program feature for feature, price for price, we want to hear from you.
